Even Tone day cream with SPF 30
Melanin is a natural pigment that gives colour to skin. Exposure to sunlight, hormonal influences and ageing can cause an increase in melanin production and trigger dark marks and dark spots that make skin look uneven.
Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Day Cream SPF 30 contains Thiamidol®, an effective and patented ingredient that acts at the root cause of dark marks by reducing melanin production. It is clinically and dermatologically proven to reduce dark marks and prevent their re-appearance. First results are visible from two weeks and improve continuously with regular use. Tested on South African skin.
Even on cloudy days the sun’s rays can cause sun spots, photoageing (the word used to describe premature skin ageing caused by the sun) and DNA damage. With UVA and UVB filters (SPF 30) the moisturising day cream offers effective protection from the sun and reduces the chances of skin developing sun-induced pigment spots. Skin appears even and radiant.
Main findings
Among other clinical and dermatological studies, a Product in Use (PIU) study was conducted with 120 women aged between 25 and 55 ¹. They reported the following results after firstly two and then four weeks of regular use:

Thiamidol
Thiamidol(R) is an effective and patented ingredient that acts at the root cause of hyperpigmentation. Thiamidol is clinically proven to reduce hyperpigmentation on all skin types, preventing its re-appearance with regular usage. The active was developed in over 10 years of research based on screening of a library of 50,000 compounds.
Licochalcone A
Licochalcone A is a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant ingredient derived from the roots of the Chinese licorice plant (Glycyrrhiza inflata). Licochalcone A protects skin cells from oxidative stress and environmental aggressors like UV and blue light (HEVIS). Key benefits are:

Is Eucerin Anti-Pigment Day SPF 30 suitable for skin with age spots?
Yes. Eucerin Anti-Pigment Day SPF 30 can be used to reduce many of the different types of hyperpigmentation which include age spots (also known as sun spots). And, with SPF 30, it also protects skin from the sun helping to reduce further sun-induced pigmentation issues. For optimal results we recommend that you use it in combination with other products in the Eucerin Anti-Pigment range.
